Hello friends and others! This week started out with a wonderful Sunday followed by a glimmer of hope that fizzled just as quickly, but it is okay. We had a lead on a baby and the birth Mom was leaning towards adoption in the beginning but now that her due date is only a couple of months away she has decided she wants to keep the baby, which we respect. Just wasn't our time yet. This is one of many little ups and downs that we have experienced in our search. There have been times when we feel like we are so close only to be so far away five minutes later. Anyone who has been through this process understands the roller coaster ride that our minds, hearts and emotions are on. Our social worker has encouraged us to be proactive in our search if anyone of you are wondering why we keep putting it out there that we are still looking. Today is a sunny beautiful day in Wyoming and we wish you all a happy day!

Hello all...well it has been almost a week since we started this blog on our adoption process. We have sent out numerous letters, emails etc. to various organizations, individuals and state authorities looking for children to join our family and still no luck. Sadly we have been contacted several times by private adoption agencies who want an extraordinary amount of money to place us with a child...money which we do not have and feel that doesn't actually benefit the children or the birth mothers of those agencies. Yes, there are some that are in it for the right reasons but sadly most of them have figured out how to line their pockets and take advantage of people like us. We WILL find the sweet spirits that belong in our family, just have to keep the faith. While we wait we prepare...the nursery is complete minus a few details like putting the rocker together and finishing the wall details. Dedicating a special room in our home and filling it with special things has kept our spirits up most days. Maybe this weekend I will get the few things done and take some pictures...well that is all for now, signing off for the night with prayers and hope.
